Wrike Updates March 16 2026

TL;DR: AI Agents now support moving tasks between folders, reading and writing checkbox custom fields, filtering action work items, and naming actions for better clarity. Upcoming Wrike Essentials webinars cover Gantt Charts, Request Forms, and managing work views.

Feature Updates

AI Agents: New Actions and Updates

This week Wrike brings four significant updates to AI Agents.

1. Location Change Action (Move/Add to Folder). Agents can now move or add tasks to folders based on content, status, or prompt logic. Two modes are available: Move to location and Add to location. Use location chips in prompts to restrict which destinations the agent can choose.

2. New Custom Field Type: Checkboxes. Agents can now read and write checkbox custom fields. Ideal for judgment-based states such as Reconciliation Complete, Triaged, Assets Received, NDA Signed.

3. Action Work Items Filtering. Each action now has its own filter picker (the same as Wrike's standard filters) to filter by type, status, assignee, custom fields, importance, name, and more. Different actions in the same agent can target different segments (e.g. open vs completed tasks). Filters run before the LLM, so excluded items do not consume credits.

4. Action Naming. Individual actions in multi-action agents can now be named. Activity logs will show labels like Set Priority, Route to Team, Post Summary instead of Action 1/2/3. This makes debugging and monitoring complex agents significantly easier.
